Cliff Bleszinski wants to fix Resident EvilPosted 10:18 am on Monday, October 29th, 2012 by Michael Revis
Over the weekend, the man behind Gears of War, Cliff Bleszinski, made an interesting proposition to Capcom, which he posted over on his Twitter page. On it, he made himself available so that they can “fix Resident Evil. Together.”
Bleszinski actually cites Resident Evil 4 as one of the primary inspirations for the original Gears of War game, particularly in how it handled the over-the-shoulder third person camera. Since RE4, however, the series has been suffering from a bit of an identity crisis, which became even more apparent from the mediocre reviews that came from critics regarding the mess that is RE6. Such a collaboration may actually be the shot in the arm that the series needs to remind itself that Resident Evil is a horror franchise, not a summer blockbuster movie directed by Michael Bay.
Hey, Capcom realized they screwed up with SFxT, so, anything’s possible, right?
