Joss Whedon responds to TDKR cinematographer’s comment about The Avengers being ‘appalling’
Posted 2:14 pm on Friday, October 19th, 2012 by John 'Spartan' NguyenWally Pfister, the cinematographer for The Dark Knight Rises, made a comment about how The Avengers movie was “appalling” and how it made him go “bonkers. Many fans of The Avengers took it as him being jealous of The Avengers’ success. Pfister also criticized the way The Avengers handled certain camera angles, as if they’re trying to show off the expensive set.
Entertainment Weekly took it upon themselves to reach out to Mr. Joss Whedon, director of The Avengers, to see if he had anything to say about Pfister’s comment.
He replied with:
“I’m sorry to hear it, I’m a fan.”
Well there you have it. I was hoping for a witty comment, but Mr. Whedon is trying to be civil about this. Good man.
