Teaser poster released for Edgar’s Wright’s “The World’s End”Posted 10:35 pm on Friday, October 12th, 2012 by Mark Pacis
Finally the finale to Edgar Wright’s awesome Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy (a.k.a. the Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy) is coming to together. For those that do not know, the trilogy started with 2004′s zombie comedy Shaun of the Dead, next up was 2007′s buddy cop parody Hot Fuzz, and now it will all end with the sci-fi apocalyptic (maybe comedy?) The World’s End. I am a total fan of Wright’s Cornetto trilogy so far and finally it will end soon with The World’s End. Filming has already started back in September for The World’s End, and will be released to the States in the Spring of 2013. Maybe after filming of World’s End, Edgar Wright will get the green light to finally start production on the long-gestating Ant-Man movie for Marvel Studios. That typical Marvel release month of May is looking quite empty in 2014, I’m just saying. Check out the synopsis and the teaser poster for the movie below!
The film starts 20 years after five childhood friends attempted an epic pub crawl. The friends reunite when one of them becomes hell-bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.
