Oh gawd! Mass Effect's Reaper gets a large-scale replica

Well, I’m officially sold on what Dark Horse Deluxe is doing with their collectible series. The first collectible announced is the large-scale replica of the Reaper, Sovereign, from the Mass Effect series. This bad boy will be displayed during New York Comic Con and is set to be released on June 26, 2013. Damn, that’s a long time from now. I’d so want this, but sadly, I’m not the type of guy that would spend $349.99 on it. It sure looks beautiful though.

The Reaper replica stands at 18.5″ and is available for preorder at the BioWare store.

This craft is the flagship of the rogue Spectre Saren Arterius. Responsible for leading a devastating attack on the Citadel in the original Mass Effectgame, Sovereign is an enormous sentient dreadnought larger than two kilometers in length. The Dark Horse re-creation of Sovereign also has a sculpted base depicting a devastated city and planetary surface to convey its huge scale.
