‘Darkstalkers Resurrection’ bundle brings excellent online options to original games

Capcom has been releasing online-capable versions of their older games for awhile, and just now they’ve announced that both Darkstalkers: Night Warriors and Darkstalkers 3 will be packaged as a bundle called “Darkstalkers Resurrection”. Even better, they plan on improving the overall online experience from their previous re-releases.

Darkstalkers Resurrection will be receiving a much-wanted ping display and regional matching, two things that I wish Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike Online Edition had. The game will also be sporting GGPO-enabled online play, an HD graphics filter with multiple viewing options, replay sharing, spectator mode, achievements, a challenge/tutorial mode, and an un-lockable vault that contains concept art, videos and more.

Darkstalkers fans can expect Resurrection in early 2013 for $14.99 on PlayStation Network and 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE Arcade.
