With the success of Marvel’s The Avengers, you can bet your ass that Warner Bros. is looking to cash in on the ensemble superhero mania by pushing forward with the Justice League movie. But instead of releasing solo movies that will later tie into one giant superhero ensemble movie, Warner Bros. will be starting with the Justice League movie first.

According to Moviehole, Warner Bros. is keen on having Armie Hammer portraying the Dark Knight:

“Hammer is ‘back on WB’s radar’ for the part of Batman. Not for a solo flick, but for the ensemble “Justice League” movie [again].”

Armie Hammer has become hot stuff after the release of The Social Network. Now he’s been getting a steady job with previous movies like Mirror, Mirror and starring opposite of Johnny Depp in the upcoming The Lone Ranger film.

As for him as Batman? It could work. Fans have been wrong before with their predictions on actors playing iconic comic book characters (take Heath Ledger for example).
