Andrew Garfield and director Marc Webb confirmed for Amazing Spider-Man sequelPosted 11:54 am on Friday, September 28th, 2012 by John 'Spartan' Nguyen
Sony has just officially confirmed that Andrew Garfield and Marc Webb are going to be back for the sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man. Marc Webb will once again direct and Andrew Garfield will once again don the Spider-Man outfit. The movie is being written by Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinkner based on a previous draft by James Vanderbilt. The sequel is scheduled to be released on May 2, 2014.
Emma Stone is currently in talks to return as Peter Parker’s love interest, Gwen Stacy. Production will begin early 2013.
The Amazing Spider-Man has grossed over $751 million worldwide. Not bad for a quick reboot.
The movie has already set up Norman Osborn. I wonder if we’ll be seeing other villains before the Green Goblin makes an appearance. Who wants to see the Vulture? Come on, an old flying man stealing doesn’t sound cool?
