Tokyo Game Show is always full of surprises. Square Enix announced something I’m sure all Kingdom Hearts fans have been expecting. No it’s not Kingdom Hearts 3. The Kingdom Hearts game will be getting an HD port for the three games, including one that has yet to be on a Sony system. The collection is being titled Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX and will focus around the first KH game.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is being put in this collection, which takes place right after Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. The collection also includes high res videos from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. 358/2 takes place right before Chain of Memories and leads into Kingdom Hearts II.

Lastly, but certainly not least, is the game that started it all, the first Kingdom Hearts game. The set is being released in Japan first with no current U.S. release date announcement. The version being used is the “Final Mix” version which included an extra boss fight, extra scenes and a new weapon which never saw the light of day in the U.S. or Europe. I wouldn’t be surprised if Square Enix uses the same version for the US and Europe versions. It’s just a matter of when we can expect an announcement.

The HD ReMIX is planned for a 2013 for the PlayStation 3
