When it was announced that Daniel Day-Lewis was going to play Abraham Lincoln in Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln, I thought it was an excellent casting choice. The Lincoln trailer is finally out, and we get to see a glimpse of his performance as our 16th president.

The movie follows Abraham Lincoln during the final months of his time in office.

Lincoln hits theaters November 9, 2012 (limited), and November 16, 2012 (nationwide). The movie stars Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, David Strathairn, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Spader, Hal Holbrook and Tommy Lee Jones. It’s partly based on the book “Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln” by Doris Kearns Goodwin.
