Keiji Inafune is the creator of Mega Man and has produced games like Resident Evil, Onimusha and Dead Rising. He’s now busy working on a new zombie codenamed YAIBA.

“Everywhere I go, people ask me, ‘When is it coming?’” Inafune said. “There are so many zombie games out there, yet people ask me for a new Inafune zombie game. I am grateful for people’s respect for me as the ‘zombie game creator’ and to fulfill that I must answer their expectations with YAIBA.”

Although there aren’t a lot of details now for the game, we do know that it’ll involve ninjas and mechs. The idea for the game involved a lot of soul searching from Inafune, as he wanted to create a game that was unique, but very nostalgic.

“I am not at freedom to disclose the details just yet,” said Inafune. “But I am confident you will enjoy this new concept consisting of zombies with action, ninjas and mechs.”

comcept, the developing studio formed by Inafune, will be working on the project. Check out the teaser video below.
