PaRappa designer not too pleased with PaRappa being in PS All-StarsPosted 11:04 pm on Tuesday, September 11th, 2012 by John 'Spartan' Nguyen
PaRappa the Rapper designer Rodney Greenblat shared his displeasure with PaRappa being in the upcoming PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale fighting game. Greenblat created the wacky visual style of the PaRappa the Rapper and UnJammer Lammy PlayStation games. Even though he wasn’t too happy that PaRappa is in the PS All-Stars game, he is happy that PaRappa is back in the limelight again.
When asked about what his thoughts are, he had this to say:
I’m very happy that Parappa is making a bit of a comeback, but not so happy about him being in a weapon filled battle game. Actually the Battle Royal game is fun, and I have to do what I can to get Parappa back in the game scene. My hope is that Sony realizes the golden true potential of Parappa and asks me to design some new games. I’ve learned a lot, and I think Parappa could be great again.
I’ve had fond memories of PaRappa the Rapper, as it’s the game that blew me away because of its unique art style and being the one of the first modern rhythm games. This then lead to me getting hooked on Bust A Groove. Anybody remember that game?
