Samsung to sue Apple over 4g LTE in the iPhone 5

It lead to a greedy follow-up court request to ban the sales of 8 Samsung products in the US. While the court decision on the bans will not be decided until the 20th of September, Samsung has answered with unrelenting force. While the popular image-board 9gag started a rumor that $1.05 billion was sent to Cupertino in nickles, in reality, Samsung will be suing Apple for infringing on their 4g LTE patents in the iPhone 5.

While i do not support either party’s actions, because they limit and suspend true innovation, I have to admit childishly that Apple started it, and it seems as though Samsung will finish it. Some of the possible ramifications include:
- Redesign of the Iphone 5 and reversion to 3g, with a postponed release date
- A recall of all Apple 4g LTE enable products.
- Ban on sales of Apple 4G LTE products
- Future lawsuits from retailers and providers of current Apple 4g LTE products (Due to returns).
In all honesty, Apple has dug their own grave, if you recall In a similar issue, Taiwan’s HTC, which is also battling with the iPhone maker over patents, won a court battle over LTE, raising the possibility that Samsung’s bet will fully pay off.
The Korean Times also report that –
“SK Telecom and KT will face some difficulty in their marketing strategies for the 4G LTE iPhone because of a fresh legal attack on Apple,’’ said an industry executive, asking not to be identified.”
This legal action can result in Cupertino ( Apple Campus ) losing much more than 1.05billion in sales, and losses.
If there is one thing to be learned from this, which I personally found out through various dating experiences, never f#$% over Koreans.
