Michael Bay confirms leaked Ninja Turtles script is legit

I guess that last article is not going to be the only piece of Ninja Turtle movie news I’ll post today. THIS JUST IN(I’ve always wanted to say that), Michael Bay has finally responded to the rumored leaked script from his upcoming reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise.

Here’s what the douche had to say:

The leaked script for Ninja Turtles that different sites continue to comment on was written well before I, or anyone at Platinum Dunes, was involved with the project.

That script saw the shredder a long time ago.

This is tired, old news — Wait for the movie!

While some might find comfort in that statement here’s an interesting note, the script was dated on “January 30th, 2012.” Michael Bay and his production company Platinum Dunes joined the project all the way back in 2010. Also, it was only a few months ago when word got out that the production on Bay’s Ninja Turtles had been shut down.

Maybe Michael Bay is telling the truth? Maybe it is an old script? Like he literally just put the script in his paper shredder as he released this statement old. Either way, he confirms that script is legit and the script does fit Bay’s MO.

Literally an hour ago, we posted the news that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Peter Laird read the leaked script and was not too enthusiastic about the project.

I think the script that I read is so fundamentally flawed, and — more to the point — so NOT a Teenage Mutant NInja Turtles movie, that trying to make piecemeal changes to it in an effort to make it into something halfway decent is probably a fool’s errand.

Apparently, Paramount Pictures thought the same thing. Which is why they pushed the release all the back to 2014. Let’s hope this film just fades away like a bad dream.
