Square Enix debuts Core Online

Core Online is a new online service that allows play high-definition games in your browser for free, with no need to install anything. The service is currently in Beta but can be accessed here, and supports cloud save.

Current list of playable games are: Hitman Blood Money, and Mini Ninjas with Gyromancer and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light coming soon. I wonder what other titles they have planned for this service.

Core Online is developed by Hapti.co and is supported by ads, you can upgrade for a free to a ad free version  also if you choose, but this seems like a good way for companies like Square to take their own initiative to release there own titles and make a profit from it outside of Steam, and you don’t need any particular hardware since its all included in the browser.
