New Avengers deleted scene reveals Peggy Carter is alive?!

There is a lot of anticipation for the September 25th release of The Avengers Blu-ray. It will be the first time for many to see the highly talked about Item 47 short film, as well as, the 45 minutes of additional footage cut from the movie. Recently, a few clips have began to pop up on the internet. Today, a new clip appeared online showing an alternate cameo for Stan Lee and a extended intro for Captain America.

While we don’t know much about what Cap has been up too, besides what was seen in the end credits in Captain America: The First Avenger, this new clip shows Steve Rogers looking up some familiar faces. He discovers that Howard Stark is now deceased and he even finds out that his long lost love Peggy Carter is alive. This is sure to be a twist for many fans. Why wouldn’t he go visit her? Does he go visit her? I mean there is 45 minutes of Bonus Footage on the Blu-ray. The clip even shows that he knows where she lives.

Comic Book fans may know where this road leads but let’s not spoil it for the rest of our nerd brethren. We might see Peggy and Steve reunite in the more bonus footage from The Avengers or the upcoming sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier. One thing is for sure, the scene is sure to be a tear jerker. In fact I’m getting all misty thinking about it right now. I need a hug and a pillow pet. T_T

The Avengers Blu-ray comes out September 25th and Captain America: The Winter Solider is scheduled to hit theaters April 4th, 2014.

UPDATE:

By the time I finished this post the video had been remove per the request of Disney. Sorry folks, I guess you’ll have to wait for the Blu-ray, but here is a screenshot and a small summary of the scene.

We reveal Steve Rogers’ apartment as he leafs through the files of his teammates from ‘Captain America: The First Avenger,’ all of them stamped “Deceased.” BUT WAIT! Carter, Margaret “Peggy” – this file is unstamped. Close up so we can see Haley Atwell’s face and see she’s listed as “RETIRED” and “INACTIVE.” Cap looks sad, then we pan down to Peggy Carter’s current address in Winchester, UK and a telephone number.
