Information about the Prometheus deleted scenes have been revealed including running time and deleted scene titles. The most important question is if these scenes will help explain certain parts of the movie, like why a scientist would want to hug an alien creature that looks like a cobra, a snake known to be dangerous.

Judging from the Blu-ray cover below, it looks like the October Blu-ray release won’t contain a director’s cut. Director Ridley Scott, however, did mention that there will be a director’s cut Blu-ray on the horizon. If it’s not in the initial release version, I will have to wait it out.

The total running time for the deleted scenes is almost 40 minutes. Here’s the list:
