You have to hand it to Sony for coming up with some visually-appealing new IPs. During Gamescom, we were introduced to Rain and Puppeteer, both games being developed by Sony Japan Studio (The Japanese developers are really stepping up their game). Rain is about a boy who can only be seen in the rain, and Puppeteer is a puzzle platformer that takes place in a magical puppet theatre.

Rain is a game that contains…you guessed it, rain. A boy sees a silhouette of a girl as he wakes up. He later becomes invisible and experiences a whole new world. Thanks to the rain, we’re able to see his figure as he traverses through the city. The rain effects and the world are really captivating as you navigate the boy through a dynamic moody environment.

Puppeteer is a new puzzle platformer with a beautiful art style. A boy is transformed into a puppet who can switch heads, giving him the ability to use different powers. It’s very reminiscent of Little Big Planet, except all the action takes place on the same stage as it dynamically switches sets, and lighting keep dynamically changing!
