We’ll soon see you on Google+ with Verified Accounts

Google+ finally took off their training pants and put on some big boy briefs by introducing their verified accounts and pages URL system. Just like Facebook and Twitter where custom brands and high profile people can uniquely secure an online front, Google is now in the process of doing the same except with only a select few to start.
David Beckham, Hugh Jackman, Britney Spears, and Toyota are the first verified account holders said in a blog post by Google. “At first, we’re introducing custom URLs to a limited number of verified profiles and pages,” said Google product manager Saurabh Sharma. “But over time we plan to offer custom URLs to many more brands and individuals.”
This is pretty exciting news. There just is enough want for Google to take this step forward. Indeed each social network has their uniqueness to it, but for the most they each do the same thing and let’s not kid ourselves – Facebook is king.
See you on Google+
