Vers’ 1Q Bluetooth wood sound system a success on Kickstarter
Posted 3:32 pm on Thursday, August 9th, 2012 by John 'Spartan' NguyenVers had a successful Kickstarter campaign for its 1Q Bluetooth portable wood sound system. Not only did it meet its goal of $10,000; it surpassed that by a mile with its pledge of $128,320. And there’s still almost a week left until it’s done. That’s pretty impressive.
The 1Q is encased in a 3″ wood cube and is able to connect to smartphones, tablets, and laptops via Bluetooth v2.1. And by using wood, it creates a natural warm sound. The range is 30 feet, with a rechargeable battery life of over 10 hours. If you have 2 1Qs, you can convert them to stereo mode with a switch of a button.
If you’re all about the environment, you don’t have to worry. For each tree that is used to create the 1Q, 100 more are planted, thanks to Vers, The Arbor Day Foundation and the U.S. Forestry Service teamping up.
