Review: Boost your battery life with Keystone ECO Booster 2.0Posted 7:04 pm on Friday, August 3rd, 2012 by Jose Gutierrez III
Usually during the months of June and July, I like to call this time “Con-A-Palooza”. Conventions in the Southern California area that happen during the two months are E3, Anime Expo, and the king of all comic book conventions, San Diego Comic Con. This year along with those, I had a week trip to the East Coast in between AX and SDCC. Being in an IT department, I need to have my phone to check work and those “just in case” situations. I also have to make sure I receive those emails and calls I need so my phone has to have enough battery life at all times.
Keystone ECO Booster is a charger and kickstand for your phone. So not only will this charge your phone but will also keep it up so you can watch a movie while it charges, or just to keep it up to keep an eye on the phone. Now let’s get down and dirty with the details.
Its sleek thin design makes it hardly noticeable when attaching it to the back of your phone and the kick stand adds to its usefulness as a charger. Now you may be asking yourself two things, how does it stick to the back of the phone and can I use it for more than one phone? Well, to answer the first question, it has an adhesive which sticks to the back of your phone and can be placed any way you want. And before you ask, the adhesive can be removed and washed, so you don’t have to worry about it getting dirty and not be able to stick. As for the second question, yes, you can use it for more than one phone, since it has an iPhone/iPod connector to come with it. The cable is also retractable so you don’t have to have a piece of wire just hanging. All in all it is a great design.
As I said earlier, this came in to use during my “Con-A-Palooza” and was a very, very needed item during those times. My battery life for my phone only lasts me 4-5 hours on a good day and 3 hours or less when I am bombarded by emails and calls. And I used my phone to keep my schedule for all the interviews and meetings. I always charged this at night so I had a full charge when going out during the con days. I was able to get a full days use, usually 12-14hr, during the days of the con. In fact, I got more battery life when my day ended than when I plugged in the charger. Also, during my downtime, the kick stand helped when trying to watch a movie.
This is one of the best chargers I have come across and is very useful when the time comes. I still use it now even though I have a much better battery life on my new phone. I just got used to it. Hahaha
