I think that the first Silent Hill movie was one of the best video game adaptations. That’s not saying much, but it did capture the mood and feel of the game. I’m hoping Silent Hill Revelation 3D can do the same. The first trailer for the movie is finally out, and it’s looking hopeful. So far I’m sold on the trailer for having music from the Silent Hill game by composer Akira Yamaoka, the father/daughter story looking to be intact (the first movie changed the main character from a father to a mother), Pyramid Head, nurses, and most importantly, fog!

Silent Hill Revelation 3D will be in theaters on October 26, 2012. It stars Adelaide Clemens as Heather Mason, Kit Harington as Vincent, Sean Bean as Harry Mason and Radha Mitchell as Rose Da Silva.
