SDCC 2012: Kotobukiya Goodies as East meets West

Kotobukiya, well known for a combination of releases that include the Marvel and DC Bishoujo statues (Western super heroines with Eastern animation designs to create sexy and beautiful figures), Model kits, and other East- and West-inspired statues and figures that collectors love.

At Comic-Con 2012, just like the previous year, Kotobukiya came in full force showcasing current and upcoming goodies from Batman, Mass Effect, Marvel, DC and other anime goodies. The best thing of all is that they were selling some of the stock early and had a few Comic-Con exclusive variants as well.

So many awesome things to buy, so little money. I picked up the Liara statue that sold out by the second day and a Fem Shepard tag was shown just to tease you until a prototype is released.

Too bad they didn’t showcase the Ani* Statue line, but then again, Comic-Con does focus on more Western items. If you want to see more of the Kotobukiya lines, you can check out your local anime store, favorite online shop, or Kotobukiya’s website and order directly from them.

Stay tuned as we start reviewing Kotobukiya figures.
