Ninten-Download: Zelda (NES) on 3DS, Heroes of Ruin demo
Posted 3:20 pm on Thursday, July 5th, 2012 by Ryan SouthardJust fyi, internet, Nintendo is celebrating this Summer as an “8-bit Summer”, and having grown up on 8-bit games, it’s a promotion I can get behind. This week, The Legend of Zelda, the game that started, well, a lot of it, is now available on your 3DS system. It’s a game that holds up rather well considering its age. For all of the fancy graphics we’ve plastered onto our game worlds, The Legend of Zelda still shines. Pick up your sword, because it’s dangerous to go alone.
Square-Enix is pushing their latest in dungeon crawling technology, Heroes of Ruin. The demo is out now, and the game will be available on July 17th for 3DS.
For you digital golfers out there hungering for something on your 3DS, NES Open Tournament Golf lets you go head-to-head with another opponent in Stroke, Match and Tournament modes. “Play on three fantasy courses in the United States, the UK and Japan, and try to win a million dollars.” A million dollars you say? I’m perfecting my craft of digital golf-swinging and all you can muster is a mil? Do I look like Doctor Evil to you?
Arc System Works is getting out of its comfort zone this week with something for the family: Family Tennis 3D on 3DS. If you can get behind all three of those things being together, this might be the game for you.
Lastly we have Super Baseball 2020, a game originally released on the Neo Geo. You now have the opportunity to forgo paying $900+ for a fancy gold Neo Geo system, and instead pay 900 points to play this game on your Wii. Sounds like a great deal to me.
Oh, and one more thing. Sakura Samurai is on sale this week for only $4.99 for 3DS (original price, $6.99).
