Original Transformers cartoon voice actors Peter Cullen and Gregg Berger reprise their roles as Optimus Prime and Grimlock in the upcoming Transformers: Fall of Cybertron video game. This is great news for fans of the original cartoons. I can’t imagine anybody else voicing the heroic Autobot leader, Optimus Prime, and Grimlock, leader of the Dinobots.

Cullen and Berger will be joined by some top voice actors in the industry:

  • Nolan North (Uncharted’s Nathan Drake) will be lending his talent to voice Bruticus (the Decepticon Combiner), Cliffjumper and Brawl.
  • Troy Baker (The Last of Us’ Joel) will be voicing Jazz, Jetfire, and Kickback.
  • Fred Tatasciore voices Megatron, Ratchet and Metroplex.
  • Steve Blum (Cowboy Bebop’s Spike) will be voicing Shockwave, Swindle and Sharpshot.
  • Isaac Singleton (Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl) voices Soundwave.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will be out on August 28, 2012, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
