George W. Bush gets decapitated in Game of Thrones

Bush, getting a special cameo. What kind of cameo? How about his severed head planted on a pike in the Season One Finale of the show. It was mentioned on the DVD commentary that the crew used a George W. Bush head because they simply ran out of severed heads.
“The last head on the left is George Bush,” one of the creators said. (They are not pictured and their voices are very similar, so it’s difficult to say who said what.) “George Bush’s head appears in a couple of beheading scenes. It’s not a choice, it’s not a political statement. We just had to use whatever head we had around.”
It’s funny to me that HBO is now mad at the show creators, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, for that comment and had to apologize. The season finale episode, “Fire and Blood”, aired on June 19, 2011. That’s like a year ago. Plus nobody noticed George W. Bush even made an appearance until the DVD commentary, and the DVD was released back on March 6th, 2012.
HBO said that they were “deeply dismayed to see this and find it unacceptable, disrespectful and in very bad taste.” They also mentioned that the commentary will not be available on future DVDs. Okay, I’m going to have to buy the Blu-ray versions now.
David Benioff and D.B. Weiss responded to HBO’s statement and apologized. “In the DVD commentary, we mentioned this, though we should not have,” the statement said. “We meant no disrespect to the former President and apologize if anything we said or did suggested otherwise.”
