E3 2012: Get your chainsaws revved up in Gears of War: JudgementPosted 1:31 am on Tuesday, June 5th, 2012 by Narvin Seegoolam
This new story takes place about 15 years prior to the events we witnessed in Gears of War 1. What’s different in this iteration, is that it follows Kilo Squad which is lead by Baird. Cole Train was part of Kilo Squad also, as well as 2 other characters we don’t know too much about. Apparently, the squad has gotten into trouble by not following orders and their superiors (Coalition of Governments) are not too happy with them. I think it’s going to be an interesting story from a perspective and time period we have not seen in the Gears series.
Another big piece to this puzzle, is that Epic has handed the reigns of the Gears series over to Bulletstorm studio, People Can Fly. Visually, Bulletstorm looked just like Gears of War, just with a different skin. The gameplay and story were pretty horrible as well. I do have faith in the studio though, because Gears is not a new IP and it would be hard to screw it up. As for multiplayer, the only thing we’ve been teased with is that there will be a mode called, Overrun. Supposedly this game-type will play very similar to Team Fortress 2. That remains to be seen, so we’ll just have to wait and see. Gears of War: Judgement is set to release in 2013.
Narvin’s middle name is FPS….ok maybe not, but he’s like BOOM!! HEADSHOT!! I’m hungry…
