Verizon has released a new viral Prometheus video for their Verizon Home Monitoring and Control system. In the video, Dr. Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) pleads with Peter Weyland via video messages to let her lead an expedition to outer space to find out the mystery of man’s origin. She’s been sending these videos to him over and over again, hoping for him to respond. Judging from the trailer, I think he agrees.

If you watch near the end, a Yutani logo appears in front of Shaw’s face. In the Alien series, Weyland-Yutani is a megacorporation behind many of the incidents that happened in the movie. During Prometheus, Weyland and Yutani haven’t yet merged. Very interesting indeed.

Prometheus hits theaters June 8th.
