Cars Land is in; Epcot’s Test Track is out!

Out with the old and in with the new, well sort of. Over at Walt Disney’s Epcot Center in Florida, patrons were graced with the last Test Track run on April 15th, before it closed for a major overhaul that will reopen sometime this fall. The e-ticket attraction first opened on March 17, 1999, and until this day has been a huge success and rider favorite.

Sponsoring the innovations from GM automotive, riders were immersed in the feel of what it takes for a car to go from production on a test track, to everyday driving production. The newly anticipated overhaul will feature an extensive world of automotive design and will again feature a new version of a six-person SimCar that will embark riders on a familiar yet new test track design. You could say that the birthplace for the upcoming Cars Land featured e-ticket attraction, Radiator Springs Racers, came directly from Epcot’s Test Track.

In either case, both will soon be in operation simultaneously with Cars Land official opening on June 15th and Test Track’s return this fall.

Check out the final ride below.
