Comic: Batman ‘Night of the Owls’ beginsPosted 8:28 am on Monday, April 23rd, 2012 by Craig Tester
Batman and the rest of the bat family have to face Gotham’s biggest threat in DC’s new story arc “Night of the Owls.” After Batman has been attacked, kidnapped and tormented by the Court Of Owls, he escapes and tries to discover who’s behind the secret organization until Wayne Manor is attacked and surrounded by “The Talons,” the court’s legion of highly skilled, immortal assassins. After escaping with Alfred to the Batcave, Batman has no choice but to send a signal out to the Bat Family asking for their assistance before Gotham is lost and Batman becomes another trophy on display in the Court of Owls Trophy case.
This new story arc will be featured in all members of the Bat Family titles (such as Nightwing, Batwoman, Red Hood and the Outlaws, and etc.) and will ultimately put each hero to the test. All Star Western, which is set in the 1800s, will show the back story of the Court of Owls. The event has kicked off in Batman #8 and Nightwing #8 with both heroes in serious trouble. Maybe DC is going to make serious changes to Gotham’s finest, or maybe we could see some heroes being killed off.
DC Comics’ New 52 stories have been awesome so far, but Night of the Owls is going to be the standout storyline this year. If you are looking to get into comics or just want to catch up on what’s happening in the DC universe, make sure you pick up this story arc! The court of Nerd Reactor has spoken!
