It looks like Joss Whedon's The Avengers knocks it out of the park

The world premiere of The Avengers took place last night. Since there’s an embargo date for reviews, what we do get for the Joss Whedon-directed movie are Twitter reactions from the many journalists and stars that attended (Seth Green, Edgar Wright, Chris Hardwick, etc). I’ve scoured the Twitterverse to collect a bunch of different Tweets about their thoughts on the movie.

So far it’s looking great.

The tracking for The Avengers is estimated to be $125 million for the opening weekend. I made my own prediction on how much the movie will make, which I’m hoping to be $175 million. If not that, then I hope it will at least do better than The Hunger Games’ $152 million opening weekend.

The Avengers assemble in theaters on May 4, 2012.
