At last year’s E3, we were able to make a visit to the Telltall Games offices. At the time, the developer had a huge buzz surrounding them since they had procured the rights to Jurassic Park, Back to the Future and The Walking Dead. We were able to get some hands-on time with Back to the Future and Jurassic Park, but unfortunately, the developer had nothing to show for The Walking Dead besides some early concept art. Flash forward to today, IGN has exclusively released the first teaser trailer for The Walking Dead.

Telltale Games will be taking a different route than the live-action AMC television series. The developer was given the okay from Image Comics to expand on the original source material. The game will focus on a new character, a convicted criminal named Lee. He will not be alone in this post-apocalyptic world as Lee has enlisted the help of a young girl named Clementine. Having both lost their families, they will join forces in the hopes to find a way out of this never-ending nightmare.

While fans shouldn’t expect to see any of the major characters from The Walking Dead, Telltale reveals that fans will get a little more back-story on fan-favorite Glenn. Players will also be able to visit Hershel’s Farm long before the event that took place in the comic book or the TV Series.

The new teaser trailer gives you a little insight into the back-story of the character Clementine. While the teaser shows no actually gameplay footage, Telltale is scheduled to release a new trailer on March 19th. If the game is any similar to last year’s Jurassic Park, expect a lot of Quick Time Events.

Episode 1 is slated to release sometime later this fall on the Xbox360, PS3, PC and the Ipad.
