Jurassic Park 3D announced

Universal just announced Jurassic Park in 3D will be hitting theaters July 19, 2013. The film was originally released on June 11, 1993, and grossed $915 million worldwide. At about 10 years later, semi-mesmerized sequel franchise attempts, and rumors of Steven Spielberg attempting a reboot or sequel of sorts, we can now at least enjoy one of the greatest films ever made back on the big screens in 3D.

We caught up with Spielberg at the LA Times Hero Complex Film Festival where he made remarks about the debacle being created over George Lucas revisiting the Star Wars franchise in so many ways, that to some, was ruining the entire nostalgia of it. I don’t think Spielberg plans on pumping out all his classics in 3D, but for now I believe Jurassic Park will be worth every penny of the inflated 3D movie ticket price.
