Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie gets a trailer

Here’s the trailer for Disney’s Frankenweenie, a stop-motion animated film based on Tim Burton’s earlier work. Burton has taken the director’s seat to create this film about a boy who wants to bring his dog back to life. The trailer shows a lot of promise, but I haven’t been enjoying Tim Burton’s recent movies as of late. I’m hoping that he’ll bring back the eery charm that Edward Scissorhands had.

The story will reach out to all those kids who have lost their dogs and wish for it to come back alive. Actually, this might be a bad idea, as it might give kids false hope.

With the premiere of the teaser trailer, new images have also popped up.

Frankenweenie hits theaters on October 5, 2012.
