Atlus and Arc System works announced that they were working on a new fighting game last year. We now we know that it’s Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena , a fighting game that will feature the cast from Persona 4 and a few added characters from Persona 3.

The game was in Arcade testing over the winter and is set to release in Japanese arcades this Spring with the console version set to release this Summer. Atlus USA teased a few days ago about a possible US release, and today they have officially announced that Persona 4 Arena will be releasing this Summer in the states.

This will be Atlus USA’s 2nd fighting game (last year’s release of King of Fighters XIII being the first). They have done some great work promoting it and being active in the fighting community, so here’s hoping that their hard work doesn’t go to waste.
