The movie-going audience has spoken, and the powers that be have decided that a third Hangover movie needs to be made. Since the first and second Hangover movie made mucho dinero, it only makes sense that the studios would want to make a third one. Hangover 2 made around $580 million with a budget of $80 million. The first Hangover made $467 million with measly $35 million budget. That’s like almost a $1 billion in profit (minus marketing budget). Hell, I’d do the same thing if I can keep on cranking out these films.

According to reports, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms want $15 million each. Warner Bros. is hoping to shoot this summer with a Memorial Day 2013 release. The story is supposedly trying to break away from the whole drinking and forgetting plot device.

Let’s hope it’s going to be different, because the repeated premise was the reason why I didn’t want to watch Hangover 2.
