On December 20, 2011, a crowd of people with lightsabers joined forces with the Jedi and Sith to freeze battle in a flash mob at Time Square in New York City. It was done to help promote Star Wars: The Old Republic, which was released on the same day.

I was actually expecting a choreographed battle with the actual Jedi and Sith members, but I guess them being frozen in space will have to do.
