Image Comics the company that shook the comic book world in 1992 is set to rock the comic book world once more. This time announcing that they are going to have their own convention starting next year commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Image Comics. This will be a three-day event for creator-owned comics held at Oakland Convention Center.

Many of Image’s heavy hitters will be attending the expo throughout the weekend. Names like Robert Kirkman, Erik Larsen, Todd McFarlane, Marc Silvestri, and Jim Valentino will be guests of honors. They will be there for signings, panels, and other special events. Other names include Image founders Rob Liefeld, and Whilce Portacio. As well as other creators of today’s creator-owned comics.

This expo is not just about Image Comics but a celebration of independent creativity in comics. It is open to anyone who creates their own comics. It will be having programs for fans, creators, and professionals. They will also have the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund that help protect creators and retailers by having a massive auction. This expo is going to run from February 24-26.
