UK Chart Toppers – Modern Warfare 3, Skyrim, Battlefield 3, Moshi Monsters?

Hey, guys, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is selling well in the UK! Hmmm…I sense a lack of surprise in the crowd. Yes, the multi-million selling franchise is at again, kicking, shooting, and generally wreaking havoc on wallets everywhere. Thankfully though, the CoD series didn’t scare away competition like it did back in 2009 when several titles decided they were better off coming out the next year.

I think the great sales of other games this year has proved that CoD isn’t the world-pulling money magnet it’s made out to be. Skyrim managed a good second place, and the two-week old Battlefield 3 held onto third place. Skyrim has done so well that it has bested Bethesda’s previous best opening week that they had with Fallout: New Vegas. Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception dropped from 2nd to 6th, and Batman: Arkham City dropped from 4th to 8th, but at least they’re still on the charts and selling really well.

Moshi Monsters hit 7th place! What is it? I don’t know, but apparently creepy drooling characters are in. Forget them Pokemonz, kids.

This is a Moshi Monster, and in other news, I'm not leaving my house.

Somehow Mario Kart Wii is still on the charts at 23rd place – that came out in 2008!
