According to Canalys, HTC and Samsung each have shipped out more smartphones than the juggernaut that is Apple in the last quarter. HTC was able to ship out 5.7 million smartphones, Samsung shipped 5.2 million, and Apple shipped 4.9 million.

The iOS was king before, but it looks like Android is taking over the market now. That’s good news for Android users, but with the new iPhone 4S just being released, it might be a different story later on.
