The Battlefield Vault Will Make Your Xbox 360 and PS3 Look Epic

EA and Calibur11 have teamed up to give fans an opportunity to turn their slim models of the Xbox 360 and PS3 console into a cool piece of Battlefield 3 hardware called The Battlefield Vault.

With the Vault, your Xbox 360 and PS3 will be encased inside a Battlefield 3 smoke body that includes a 3-mode LED light up claymore, DICE logo smoke grenade, and more. It’s not just for looks either. The Vault features a performance grid that allows the console to run cooler by increasing airflow and a controller holder for easy storage.

You’ll be able to purchase one at www.calibur11.com and other major outlets for the price of $89.99 MSRP. If you have a PS3 Slim, you can just spend $10 more at GameStop for the Battlefield Vault and Battlefield 3 game. I think that’s the better deal.

Also released is the new trailer for Battlefield 3 called “Destruction” and will feature things blowing up, falling down, and being destroyed.

Battlefield 3 leaps ahead of the competition with the power of Frostbite 2, the next installment of DICE’s cutting-edge game engine. This state-of-the-art technology is the foundation on which Battlefield 3 is built, delivering superior visual quality, a grand sense of scale, massive destruction, dynamic audio and incredibly lifelike character animations. As bullets whiz by, walls crumble, and explosions throw you to the ground, the battlefield feels more alive and interactive than ever before. In Battlefield 3, players step into the role of the elite U.S. Marines where they will experience heart-pounding single player missions and competitive multiplayer actions ranging across diverse locations from around the globe including Europe, Middle-East and North America.

Battlefield 3 will be available on store shelves on October 25, 2011 in North America.
