Middle-aged Man Chokes Boy over ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops’

Here’s the skinny. In July, Mark Bradford, 46, sought revenge against a boy for killing him online in Call of Duty: Black Ops on the PlayStation. He’s been playing all day and got mad at the 13-year-old for gloating about killing him. That’s when Bradford snapped, walked out of his house to choke the teenager, who happened to be at his friend’s place. The friend’s mother, who knows Bradford, had to stop him from choking the boy.

“I’d been playing the whole day and he was baiting me and just would not shut up,” said Mark, who admitted the assault. “I just lost it. In a moment of madness I went round to the house. I didn’t know what I was going to do. It wasn’t malice. I just grabbed him. I’ve seen him since and apologised. The injuries weren’t that bad but I do regret it.”

Even though Bradford is at fault for assaulting the kid, aren’t the parents to blame for allowing the kids to play Call of Duty? You see, if the parents did their jobs, the kids wouldn’t be playing the game; therefore, the kid wouldn’t get choked.
