Orcs Must Die! was quite a neat surprise for me at E3 2011. This third-person shooter, from Robot Entertainment, has players using their skill and wits to prevent an onslaught of orcs from invading and destroying castles. There are various traps that players can set up, and special items to be equipped and mastered. I won’t bother explaining anymore about the game though, because I’ve already done a preview for it here.

Orcs Must Die! is being released on Xbox Live first, on October 5th, and PC on the 12th. The PC version can be gotten on Steam and various other unnamed platforms.

I wholeheartedly recommend you give this a try if you like twitchy action games with a bit of thought thrown in; or if you have some strange innate hatred of orcs.
