Commander Shepard’s Journey Ends with Mass Effect 3

Commander Shepard and I have been through a lot these past few years and it’s sad to hear that he/she will be saying bye after Mass Effect 3 is out. It’s been a good run, but all journeys must have an end. I for one am happy that after the trilogy, we’ll be getting a new adventure. It’s the same reason why I love Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic so much.
Below is Ray Mazuka, BioWare CEO, responding to whether Mass Effect 3 will be the last we’ll see of the universe.
“Not at all no,” says Bioware CEO Dr. Ray Mazuka when we put the question to him at Gamescom this year. “We have ambitious plans to continue this franchise going forward. Mass Effect 3 is simultaneously a couple of different things; a thrilling and epic conclusion to the trilogy as we promised our fans we’d provide for Commander Shepard, but it’s also a brand new beginning – it’s an entry point for new fans and it’s also a brand new beginning.”
So that’s it. No more Commander Shepard.
Mass Effect 3 will be available on March 6, 2012 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
