‘Assassin’s Creed Revelations’ Gamescom Video Features Altair and Bombs

During Gamescom, Ubisoft released a new walkthrough video for Assassin’s Creed Revelations. In this video, Ezio is on a personal quest to find secrets left behind Altair in his former home of Masyaf.

The beginning of the video has Ezio on a horse and carriage racing against a Byzantine captain, Leandros, the main bad guy you saw in the E3 2011 trailer. He gets injured from an explosive that sends him near the edge of a cliff. Ezio can still fight and counter, but he can’t climb and walks injured. This reminds me of Uncharted 2 when Nathan Drake walks in an injured state.

Ezio has some new tricks up his sleeves, like a diversion bomb, a tripwire bomb, and the ability to craft new bombs.

Ezio will also be able to retrieve magical keys from his targets that will allow him to access Altair’s library and relive key points in Altair’s life (this is like pre-Animus). In this pivotal moment of Altair’s life, which takes place before the first AC game, he has to kill a traitor in order to save Al Mualim, the grand master of the assassin order.

Assassin’s Creed Revelations will be available for PlayStatoin 3, Xbox 360 and PC, on November 15, 2011.
