SDCC 2011: Kotobukiya's Upcoming Babelicious Bishoujo Statues

I’ve been trying to get out of the collectible scene simply for the fact that I wanted to save space and money, but there is one company that’s preventing me from doing that. That company is Kotobukiya. Ever since it released its bishoujo statues, my will wasn’t strong enough. I love sexy and strong heroines and I really love affordable statues with a good design (thanks to Shunya Yamashita’s designs). The bishoujo figures are a great combination of both.

I was able to check out the booth and snap some photos. Here are the upcoming hot and sexy bishoujo statues ranging from comics to video games.

Poison Ivy (Batman)
Release Date: 1st Quarter 2012

Here is the sexy villainess who can control plants. She has light green skin wearing a one-piece plant bathing suit. Her long red hair flows with her tips curling like plant roots. Her legs are being wrapped by plants as she stands with both her hands on her hip. Yep, she definitely knows how to work it.

Christie Monteiro (Tekken)
Release Date: 4th Quarter 2011

Here’s Christie from the Tekken series. She has a capoeira fighting style as she is in mid motion of a move. Spicy!

Liara T’Soni (Mass Effect)
Release Date: TBD

Now this is a first, a Kotobukiya bishoujo statue from a video game that’s not Japanese (if my memory serves me correctly). No prototype was available, but it’s still cool.
