SDCC 2011: Square Enix PLAY ARTS® Amazes

I am a huge collector of anime, video game figures and statues to the point where I have my own showcase in my room. There are also a few companies I will always buy from that include Good Smile, Kotobukiya, Figma, and Square Enix Play Arts line.

I loved the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts Play Arts to the point where I collected nearly all of the Kindgom Hearts Sora Forms (missing 1). The Play Arts brand has evolved into the -Kai- series, which has released figures outside of the Square Enix universe such as:

  • Microsoft (Bungie’s) Halo series
  • Konami’s Metal Gear Solid Series (check out the gallery for an unfinished Cyber Ninja)
  • Capcom’s Devil May Cry 4
  • Platinum’s Bayonetta Series
  • Sega’s Bleach series
  • Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 2
  • and a few more

New to the list of Play arts -Kai- will be:

*Nathan Drake will lead the new Uncharted Series series

*A new God of War Series with this unfinished Kratos

Now say hello to the new series under the -Kai- banner, Arkham Asylum’s Batman!! But he isn’t alone…..

Joker would never let the Bat take the main stage.

All the figures will be available fairly soon, so you can buy your figures from the Square-Enix’s online shop or your local anime store, as more information get released.

Also stay tuned as we partner up with one of my local anime shops to bring you a look at what’s new that’s out, what’s hot, collector’s treasures and new and upcoming figures/statues and more.
