Steven Spieldberg’s ‘War Horse’: Black Beauty Goes to War

Steven Spielberg is a busy man. Not only does he have The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn coming out December 23, 2011, but he also has another movie coming out 5 days later on December 28th called War Horse. Just think of Black Beauty during World War I, but with more death.

For you nerds out there, Thor’s Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and The Hobbit’s Benedict Cumberbatch (Smaug) will be in the movie.

This movie has a lot of promise for being a tear jerker, and I hope it’s so awesome that I’ll forget that he ever directed Indiana Jones and the Unstoppable Fridge.

Synopsis: Follows a young man named Albert and his horse, Joey, and how their bond is broken when Joey is sold to the cavalry and sent to the trenches of World War One. Despite being too young to enlist, Albert heads to France to save his friend.
