Hugh Jackman Dates ‘The Wolverine’ Film Schedule and Possible 2012 Release

Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman, has said that they will begin filming The Wolverine movie in October of this year. He also says that the movie will be released a year later after that. So I’m guessing around October 2012. With Darren Aronofsky out of the picture, director James Mangold (3:10 To Yuma, Knight & Day) will be helming the project.

“We shoot in October, so it will probably come out a year after that. That’s usually around the timeline,” Jackman said.

If you remembered, The Wolverine was suppose to begin filming in Japan, but after the Japanese earthquake and the departure of director Darren Aronofsky, things looked uncertain.

If you can’t wait next year to see Hugh Jackman in theaters, you can catch him in Real Steel this year, where he plays a boxing promoter for a robot. Talk about a true underdog story.
