World of Warcraft Begins Unlimited Trials
Posted 5:03 pm on Tuesday, June 28th, 2011 by Steve AhmadThe worldly known World of Warcraft has officially seen the end of limited new user trials, somewhat. Blizzard has announced that it is doing away with their previous ten day trial. With WOW’s unsurpassed presence in the MMO realm, this comes to almost no surprise. I mean by far one of the reasons for an MMO’s success is the ability for its development team to outlast and anticipate the players wants within the world they play in. The new free trial will allow players the unlimited access to the game, limiting them at level twenty. With the game now capping at level eighty-five, that free trial cap is a far cry from what the game could potentially showcase for serious MMO players.
Since the release of Cataclysm, the heavily weighted and lightly perceived expansion, Blizzard has changed its gears to faster world expansions, and user interface upgrades. Is this the first sign to the end of the reign of World of Warcraft? Probably not, but that does leave out assumptions that WOW is beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel; a tunnel where games go to die.
