Rockstar and Take-Two: Companies to Watch
Take-Two developer announced yesterday that they will continue paths with the Grand Theft Auto talents for a few more years. With L.A. Noire, Red Dead Redemption, and Grand Theft Auto under team development of Rockstar, Take-Two didn’t have to think twice for this deal to extend. Take-Two has also said that they will not be paying members of Rockstar ridiculous amounts of money just so they stick around.
Management agreement fee’s up to $208,333 per month were contracted, along with $3.5 million in managment bonuses. Surprisingly, that is no different from the previous year. Even though revenues for the fiscal 2011 quarter amounted to a near $182.3 million, and a net loss of $9.7 million was reported, Take-Two’s approach to extend the partnership is a solid forecast plan. Overall, Take-Two expects to bank $1.1 billion in revenues by the end of the 2012 fiscal year.
